My work is primarily live performance, sometimes with the use of mult-media and recently I have also begun to create video pieces and use photography.
My work is concerned with sexual and bodily representation and how this is affected by direct live communication between performer and spectator during performance. As a feminist performer I am interested in how my agency can change the terms of engagement not only though verbal or textual means but through visual, physical and spatial consideration in performance.
I believe in the continuum between art and life and feel that through performance this can best be expressed.
I use my body and myself as my subject matter. I am interested in the different roles that we as individuals, who are sexed, gendered, racialized, and classed by society are both forced to play and those that we choose to play.
