| DAMN NATION: Formed in late 1999,and was intended as cover band.Later,the band took on a new original direction."Heavy",
"Groove-oriented",Hard-Rock that some might call "METAL".Not quite
"Hardcore",and definitely not too "Hard-Edge" to be considered
"mainstream".Winning several "Battle of the Bands" in Toronto,at clubs like J.J.Q.'S,The Opera House,The Kathedral,and has played 70+ shows over the past 4 years at every club that will let them play,
including:Lee's Palace,The Hoseshoe Tavern,The Pheonix Concert Theatre and 102.1 "The Edge" studio.
DAMN NATION has built a solid reputation and a loyal fan base in Toronto.A full production album is still in works,but a 3 song "demo" re-issue is available containing 3 mastered album tracks "Damn Nation","Resident Evil" and "Rock n' Roll".Also a video for the song
"Resident Evil" will premier in early June 2003,the song is also featured in an "indie" film called:"Behind Door #3",starring Mike Powell.A video for the DAMN NATION single "Get Down" (un-released track) will premier Aug/16/03.The video is also on-line,you can view it at: www.napalm.ca.DAMN NATION opened the IRON MAIDEN,DIO,MOTORHED show in Aug 2003 at the Molson Ampetheatre in Toronto with a GREAT response.
DAMN NATION has been through some changes since then. Founder,guitarist and songwriter M.G.JONES leads an all new line-up in 2004,featuring lead vocalist PAUL FEATHER.The band is now a 4 peice,and the music is much "heavier" and more "polished",the vocals are less "hardcore" and more "mainstream".The new release "Demo-2004" includes un-released songs "Mosh-Pit Monster",a 9-11 tribute song called "New York City",and a new version of "Rock n' Roll".New recordings of previous material will also be released in early 2004,as well as brand new material that absolutely "Kicks ASS".
With a clearer and more focused vision,and the release of their new "Demo",DAMN NATION hope's to gain enough momentum to be recognized as a serious threat,and eventually.....TAKE OVER THE WORLD!
