Stravinskys riot-inducing icon, remixed through the lens of electronica Metropolis Ensemble led by Artistic Director / Conductor Andrew Cyr presents the world premiere of The Rite: Remixed, a collaboration between three composers, live electronics producers for percussion, brass, and live electronics that explodes the boundaries of live electro-classical music! Ricardo Romaneiro joins forces with Ryan Francis and Leo Leite to re-conceptualize the most revolutionary work of the 20th Century, Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, through the lens of the latest sounds and technology from electronica. The July 17th performance will feature The Rite: Remixed and Digital Cities, followed by live electronics show and sizzling after-party.
