* Yirra Yaakin is hosting a-a tri nation Indigenous theatre festival in Perth in July. of AUTHENTIC Indigenous theatre, featuring Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
* Participating companies: Yirra Yaakin – Australia’s leading Indigenous Theatre company. Native Earth Theatre from Canada and Open Book Productions from New Zealand.
* The event is being sponsored by the City of Perth.
* Shows will take place at the Yirra Yaakin Theatre in Murray Street, Rechabites Hall and PICA in Northbridge.
* The festival is scheduled to happen in the first week of July.
* Honouring Theatre is a unique international Indigenous event
* It’s the first time it’s been held in Australia, previous festivals have been in Canada and New Zealand.
