A fundraiser to help the campaign to protect Lake Cowal, sacred land of the Wiradjuri nation and the biggest inland lake in NSW, from a Canadian Gold mining company Barrick who are mining at Lake Cowal using cyanide and other lethal chemicals.
Lake Cowal holds many aboriginal artefacts that should not be removed or disturbed. This mine is extinguishing the rights of the Wiradjuri people to practice their religion and spirituality by excluding them from the Lake that is traditionally used for various ceremonies.
Protect Aboriginal sovereignty!

The fundraiser is held at STUCCO, a former glass factory-turned-student housing co-operative in Newtown. This event will also be the annual end-of-year STUCCO party!
