Centrelink gave Wallace, a roguish old actor who'd never cracked it, a choice: work in a nursing home or lose your benefits. Wallace couldn't hack the work, yet neither could he face living on the streets. Optionless, he fraudulently had himself admitted into a nursing-home acting as though he had Alzheimer's. Yet despite these past years being his greatest acting achievement to date, he yearns for the stage. Then, unbelievably, a major Shakespearian role emerges in his nursing-home room. It's so close Wallace can already hear the critics raving. Now all that stands between him and his dream is EVERYTHING.
