Australia’s finest proponent of indie, folk rock & alt acoustic pop, Melbourne’s Skipping Girl Vinegar have just announced their national “Music From Cold Places” Tour. Hitting the road this winter, the “Music From Cold Places” Tour references Skipping Girl Vinegar’s beautifully crafted debut album Sift The Noise and it’s genesis over 4 years " from Melbourne's winter of 2005, to its conclusion on a still snow filled day in Nashville 2008".
Two tracks from the album (‘One Chance’ and title track ‘Sift The Noise’) both received strong triple J rotation. The latter, still a current fixture on triple J playlists, has also been added to ABC local radio rotation (65+ stations nationwide) and is currently being used in a national 10 week campaign on SBS TV. The SBS promotion uses 2 minutes of the track as the soundtrack to a teaser for their upcoming programs and run’s on SBS prime time for the next 2.5 months.
Though the band has been building up a steady fan base crisscrossing the country many times over the last couple of years, the “Music From Cold Places” tour will be Skipping Girl Vinegar’s most comprehensive national tour to date. The shows will be set in unique and intimate rooms to reflect and capitalise on the genuine warmth and inherent connection between band and audience that Skipping Girl Vinegar are becoming renowned for.
