Calling all DJ fans! TDK and DMC Australia are proud to announce that the Australian DMC DJ Championships are back, and a state heat is happening in your city. Come and support your local DJs as they battle it out on two turntables and a mixer. Each competitor will have only six minutes to showcase their best scratching, beat juggling and turntable trickery, making it one of the most high impact events on the Australian musical calendar.
This year, Melbourne’s DJ Perplex will be defending his title in an effort to win a third consecutive DMC Australian Champion Title and the chance to take on the best at the World Finals in London. With competitors in all states looking to take his crown, it’s your chance to be there and cheer on your favourite DJ to victory.
Each year the competition gets fiercer with DJ’s spending astonishing amounts of time and effort fine tuning their six minute sets. And don’t just expect it’s just hip hop all night long, DJ’s experiment with everything from electro-funk to drum’n bass to give them the edge over their competitors.
