| Dominion | Dominion is a non-profit membership orientated social nightclub event currently held every second Saturday under the POGS (Perth Order of Gothic Societies) banner. After the 7th of April, 2001, Dominion will be running on a monthly basis to clear room for it's new "sister club", Nevermore.
A long-established tradition and the flagship event of POGS, Dominion is Perth's longest surviving Goth/Industrial event made possible by the continued devotion, assistance, and plain hard work of unpaid volunteers of all ages and walks of life. Held at Gilkison's Dance Studio, near the heart of Perth, Dominion has one of the best lighting rigs of any nightclub in Perth, and possibly all gothic clubs Australia-wide. With a planned revamping of the decorations and general atmosphere of the club, Dominion is continuing to evolve to meet the needs and demands of its membership base.
In the end, a nightclub event is largely about the music, and Dominion is currently moving toward a greater focus on modern Darkwave, Industrial and the other "darker" styles of electronic music, in stark contrast to the new Goth / 80's / New Romantic event, Nevermore.
We were once an all-ages event - unfortunately, changes to the Perth City Accord have meant that we are no longer able to accomodate underagers at Dominion. However, POGS has many plans to run similar events in an all-ages style, as well as other events including movie nights and poetry recitals.
