Supernova Xmas Party w/ Mihai Popoviciu,

Saturday 17 December 2011 - 22:00 until 08:00

Egg, 200 York Way, Kings Cross, London, N1

£10/£15

Thanks to the CircoLoco duo, Mass Prod & Gauthier for rocking the terrace and to Mr Claudio Coccoluto for his basement music! We return with the final supernova party of the year on Sat 17th December. Already confirmed in the Woo! London room is very special Romanian guest, Mihai Popoviciu (Highgrade), The Neverdogs & Fabio Teti (Fabio's Kitchen), whilst Circus head honcho & very special guest Yousef heads the Relations room. The Subterrain family welcomes Lo*kee's Louis Guilhem, and all the residents from all the collectives are also in the house...

Basement: Woo!
Mihai Popoviciu (Highgrade / Diynamic)
Neverdogs (Docshow)
Fabio Teti (Fabios Kitchen)

Terrace: Relations
Yousef (Circus / Cocoon / Cecille)
Scott Kemp (Plastik Philosophy)
Nathalia (Voyage)
Vinciguerra (Houserepublic)

Loft: Subterrain
Louis Guilhem (Lo*Kee)
Mauro Ferno & Mestivan (Subterrain)
Kolo & Dyze (Subterrain)

Mihai Popoviciu: From Romania, Mihai is considered one of eastern Europe's finest and most innovative producers. Signed to respected lables Fear of Flying, Diynamic, Bla Bla, Highgrade Records and Eddie Leader's Hudd Traxx, he has made countless dance floor bombs. His infectious style of driving groovy beats, warm synths and clean percussion & hats has taken him to the likes of Panorama Bar, Watergate, Fabric and Circo Loco @ DC10.

Yousef: The new decade sees Yousef consolidating his status as an international DJ, Producer, Club Promoter and Music aficionado with ever greater impact. Running one of Europe's premier clubnights co-exists alongside manning a record label of the same name, whilst his reputation as a DJ grows with increasing stature and a constantly escalating global calendar.

His productions continue to leave an indelible imprint on the world; the release of second artist album ‘Indigo Child', the follow-up to 2009's impressive LP ‘A Collection of scars and situations', is scheduled for later on in 2011. A hugely expansive collection much like its predecessor, it marks a return to Circus Recordings after Yousef took a twelve month sabbatical to work exclusively with a select band of record labels, including Saved, Cocoon, Harthouse, and Monique Musique.

The return will be kick-started with the release of one 8 track EPs entitled ‘Yousef's Circus Reworks'. The focus is simple; transformations of several productions with the Circus dancefloor specifically in mind, Jamie T, Fourtet, Giles Peterson, Moby and Sven Vath among the producers contributing material for Yousef to re-jig alongside his own peerless ‘Come Home'. Each track represents a certain time of the night or certain room; painting a personal musical projection of what Circus means to Yousef and an ideological snapshot of the clubnight's musical DNA.

The event is quite the beast. Now in its ninth year, it's quickly moved from being the best night in Liverpool to one of the most talked about and well respected soirees on the continent, the flagship for the refurbished and Funktion One equipped Masque. The high profile nature has seen shows with Planet E, Bedrock, Meganite and Teutonic techno institute, Cocoon...

Christmas may be in the air but that doesn't mean we're limited to frosty snowmen or chilly snow queens. Egg's resident monthly night Heroes is all about putting the fire into Nordic gods and passion into ice maidens to create an atmosphere so hot it will burn across all three dancefloors and possibly even melt the Polar ice caps in the process.

In just a few months since launching, this second Saturday of the month slot has gained a reputation for delivering fantasy and fun, combining international DJs, eye-catching personalities, and unique performances. This month is no different with a selection of established names alongside some of London's freshest new talent.

UNER is one of the most important names of the new generation of Spanish electronic music producers. He has earned the respect of the music industry with talent and work: names like Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox or Luciano play his music on a regular basis.

LOTTIE is one of the most prominent female DJs around, having graced the covers of numerous magazines and playing alongside some of the biggest international artists around, including Daft Punk, Josh Wink and Felix Da Housecat. She has also carved herself out as a producer to be reckoned with from her creations with Serge Santiago. She is also one of the brains behind the much-needed Geisha project which is championing both established and upcoming female DJs.

After taking a year hiatus, JOJO DE FREQ is now back with even greater force and forward thinking direction than ever. Having previously had long-standing residencies at the ground breaking nights Bugged Out and Nag Nag Nag, she has a proven track record for being ahead of the crowd and exploring new music with a broad, discerning appeal. Her sets fuse deep house, tech house, and dub techno.

HANNAH HOLLAND
Hannah Holland is a product of all the best bits of London club culture from the last decade; all the most innovative and exciting parties, scenes, movements, subcultures and music genres condensed into one frenetic curly haired DJ. Recently nominated for best breakthrough DJ, in DJ Mag, Ms Holland’s star has been on the rise ever since she landed a residency at high-octane east end institution Trailer Trash over five years ago and has recently made a habit of rocking dancefloors for respected parties like Bugged Out, The Warehouse Project, Fabric, Ibiza’s Amnesia, Serbia’s notorious Exit Festival as well as Japan and Australia. Like the best DJ talents Hannah puts her dancefloor expertise to good use in the studio and released her first track, the critically acclaimed ‘Banshee,’ on Mike Monday’s Playtime label in November ’08 , since then she's remixed for artists like Lionrock, Yo Majesty, Worthy and Yankee Zulu and has new material ready to roll on Playtime and her own label Batty Bass Records.

Ms Holland is equally at home stealing the show in big rooms and festivals as she is capturing hearts in grimy basements and warehouse raves in the small hours; her unique DJ sets combine all the best bits of deep sleazy techno, electro, house - all driven by her love of bass! In 2006 Hannah started Bastard Batty Bass as a vehicle to pursue the more eclectic side of her musical repertoire alongside long time collaborator Mama. BBB has since become something of a monster with mobbed monthly parties at The Star of Bethnal Green (described by Time Out as "one of London's finest clubs… a must-do on the UK's club calendar"), a hugely popular podcast, a cutting edge clothing line and a record label now 7 releases in , all getting plays on specialists shows on Radio One ,Kiss FM to name a few as well being loved by underground djs across the board. KISS 100 have takent Hannah on board for a debut presenting show, filling in for Joe Ransom in August! Her recent move to Berlin have honed Hannah's studio skills, with unique house and techno productions about to drop in November , early support from Heidi, Jesse Rose, Smokin Jo, Tayo & Azari & III to name a few!!! Plus an artist album to be released in the new year, the batty beats brightly roll on!!

DEXTER KANE
Dexter Kane is the latest endeavour in a string of projects from long time music industry aficionado and master of indecision, Ed Kane. Whilst permanently keeping one ear close to the ground yet refusing to be pigeonholed, Dexter has developed a sound that lies somewhere towards the deeper end of the dance music spectrum. He has signed tracks to the likes of Fear of Flying, Akbal Music and WYS!, as well as to Lower East, which he co-runs. Despite the recent nature of the project's inception, Dexter has found himself playing across the UK, Europe and in places as far flung as Brazil.

R1 RYDERS
After bursting on to the UK Bass music scene with their debut release Burnout EP in 2009, R1 Ryders have been tearing up show after show with their trademark Funkitek sound; their own high energy blend of House, Hardcore, Jungle and Rave. They describe their forward thinking dance floor destroying music simply as "That Energy Sound". R1 Ryders have since released their second and third EPs entitled "Full Throttle" and "Full System" respectively and their fourth "Pole Position EP" is going to be released Summer 2011. Fact Magazine named them Producers to watch in 2010 and R1 are widely recognized as one of the most exciting acts to come through the UK music scene of late. The Funkitek outfit's DJ/Producer Karnak and MC Skeelo have been igniting dancefloors, connecting the dots between Grime, Dubstep, Funky and DnB, and have remixed acts like La Roux, Major Lazer and The Count & Sinden among other artists. Whilst receiving support from key taste makers like Sinden, Mistajam, Mary Anne Hobbs and Benji B the Ryder's DJ sets are simply unmissable showcasing many R1 productions around the hottest dubplates in bass music.

SOCIETY DJs are the promoters and residents behind SOCIETY, a series of happening acid house parties held across London Town. The pair have had a busy summer, playing alongside dance music pioneers and DJ royalty; Marshall Jefferson, the voice of Chicago house Robert Owens, Colin Dale, Trevor Fung and Terry Farley. Their underground events bring together these huge figureheads of dance music alongside a new vanguard of sonic movers and shakers, including; Andy Blake, Neville Watson, Slackk, Urban Nerds, Bubba, all embracing the early house sounds of acid, Chicago and other electronic sounds.

The duo also run Class of 808, a blog dedicated to the exploration of early dance music; and Offset Festival a weekend outdoor event which again pieces together the old, new and usual of music royalty. Don't expect easy club hits, this Essex pairing like to dig deep...

MISSING: Green Indian ring neck parrot Sammy.

He has a red/pink ring starting to show on his neck its only slight though, might be hidden by other feathers. He is approx 1.5 years old. Very friendly and energetic.

He has recently grown his full flight feathers and quickly became a great flyer so could be anywhere in Brisbane by now or further or still close to home! He is possibly in your backyard or verandah wishing for fruit and fresh water.

He got out though the broken flywire in the security door midday 27th Jan 2011 in Hamilton RD in Chermside. We live near the fire station and hospital. Also near the Webster RD roundabout.

Please help bring him home to us and report any sightings.

More info on this facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/notes/brisbane-bird-vet/lost-indian-ringneck/173926092650678

Looking to make $$$$$ law student requir

Hi,
I am looking for student in law to assist me in a defamation/slander case.

Background:
I am employeed in the public negative reference during a referee check.
I applied for a management job, and as per notes / reports of the selection committee panel(obtained under the freedom of information) I was the preferred applicant. The notes were really showing that I met all the criterias and had plenty of experience and knowledge.

Unfortunately, the fact that my manager told the convenor that I had an autocratic management style, love to rule with an iron fist , and have issues writing reports.
None of that bullshit is true, nor can it be substantiated in any way.

I tried to get some defamation lawyers interested, but all I get is we are too busy at present, sorry.

Well if I don't do anything, that manager will get away with it and is likely to re-offend.
I don't have money at present but I am keen to discuss payment in percentage of the damages $ I will get.

So I am looking for students in law to assist me in building/presenting the case.

Feel free to email me direct at vmf082005@yahoo.com.au

[b:6ab226ac1f]Angel Alanis [/b:6ab226ac1f]
Angel Alanis has become a predominant figure in the E.D.M. industry. Hailing from Chicago, Angel began his career with the 1997 debut EP “Advanced Therapy.” Since then, he continues to produce a consistent and diverse stream of tracks, ranging from house and filtered disco workouts to tech-house and techno. His first album, “The Subconscious State of Techno,” was released in 1999, the success of which lead to his 2001 imprint A-Squared Muzik, featuring the smash hit “Do You Like the Way You Feel When You Shake.” In 2004, BPM Magazine awarded Angel a spot on its Top 100 DJ list after producing DJ Colette’s Dancestar Award-winning song “Feelin’ Hypnotized.” His work continues to earn international acclaim, landing him on labels such as Tresor, International House Records, Impact Mechanics, Tronic and Laidback Luke’s Subspace imprint. On the dance floor, Angel’s raw talent and innovative style has landed him gigs from Bogota to Berlin, and everywhere in between.

Recently, Angel joined the afro-acid team Home of DJ Pierre and is in the process of establishing two new labels,Home Audio and Slap Jaxx, which has already earned acclaim from such DJs as Dave Clarke, Ken Ishii & Dj Rush. His current work on the Freedom Series albums has proved Angel’s passion and dedication for the music and not the hype, while earning him a devout fan base.

[b:6ab226ac1f]Adam Jay: [/b:6ab226ac1f]
Since 2002 Adam Jay has taken the global techno scene by the throat with continuous output on the most respected labels worldwide. He is, without a doubt, the most prolific and accomplished figure in electronic music to come out of Indianapolis. He has toured the world as a DJ and live performer on 5 continents and 18 countries.

His releases are among the favorites of Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Sven Vath, Adam Beyer and other techno heavyweights. Best known for his releases on revered labels such as Monoid, *****, Primate, Primevil, as well as Ben Sims' own Theory Recordings, Adam's sound can be best defined as soul infused techno with constant motion. With well over 50 twelve-inch vinyl releases to his name, Adam's musical palette as a producer extends well into his selections as a DJ, earning him a bimonthly residency in 2008 at the renowned Tokyo club Studio Cube 326.

2009 found Adam back in the studio preparing new tracks for release in a new era of techno and tech-house. That feverish production pace has bared fruit, with three releases already by February 2010. The first of which, “Restraint”, on Angel Alanis’ own
A Squared Muzik label has been received very well since its February 2 release date with support from house legend Danny Tenaglia. A slew of more releases on American techno labels Communique, Impact Mechanics, MHR-HRD, as well as the Polish label Stereophonic Recordings have been signed for release in 2010, with yet another European tour to follow this summer.

[b:6ab226ac1f]Merlyn Martin & Torin [/b:6ab226ac1f]
Merlyn and Torin are traveling in support of their current and upcoming releases and remixes. Merlyn's latest release with Thee-O "I Mean Really" on A-Squared Muzik was recently played by Dave Clarke on his Whitenoise Radio show and has received support from Richie Hawtin , Luciano , and the Advent. It was also featured on the Future Audio Compilation "Colours of Tech-House Volume 7". Torin's latest release on Motif out of Belgium ("Get Dirty") broke the tech-house top 100 on beatport and has been supported by Chus & Ceballos, Boris and Cedric Gervais to name a few.

Both Torin & Merlyn Martin have very successful radio shows on DI.FM which are currently downloaded monthly by 10,000 people in 60+ countries.

My company is producing a library of music specifically for pubs, clubs and restaurants gouged by this PPCA rate rise.

It is spectacular quality, diverse in it's range and will not fall under PPCA or APRA's umbrella, so there'll be no licence fee to pay just a few dollars a day for music tailored to your business.

Call Kym on 08 9260 4405 to hear samples. The business will be ready to go by July 10 .

Hello
Due to the fact that i saw how many things you know about glow sticks i wanted to ask for your help... my cat broke a glow stick last night and we immediately went to a clinic. now, she hardly eats, can't drink.. the doctor didn't know the composition and thus he did some injections for general cases. i saw that there are 2 types of composition and first of all i wanted to ask which is the commercial one and second of all which is the producer of these sticks and how harmful are them to animals and also children. I would appreciate your answers.

I thought I was alone

Here in the back woods of South Carolina near Hilton Head. I was in a chat room discussion of someone saying they played Spraci in New York. So I did a little research and I found this website. I havent a clue what Spraci is or what this chick was talking about when she said it was a 4 day festival. I looked on youtube and I only found people playing keyboards. Which is good for me because im trying to learn how to play one to help with production. But could someone tell me what this is all about because I am lost. I have been attempting to produce Trance since October of 08 and have been mixing it since April of 08 but here I was thinking I was alone. Thank you all who will respond. This is new to me and I dont know anything about it or forums.

Reply
