THE DIELECTRIC ( new ) EP 21-09-2009

Vividly experimental, emotive and sounding more urgent than it’s predecessor’s RAPID-EYE-VOL-3 takes the unmistakable erratic sound of THE DIELECTRIC into another age of industrial, ambient, drum and noise electronica . After spending most of 2009 recording with various guest artists and friends on the electronic scene from Berlin, Lubeck, Sweden, Amsterdam, London and Manchester. THE DIELECTRIC return in 2009 with their long awaited final part of the acclaimed underground trilogy series ‘ RAPID-EYE ASSEMBLAGE '. A concept first launched by the band
Back in March 2008 by founder member and main music director J.HOOKENS ( formly of industrial electro-punk band JERICO ONE> ) .

Following up the two EP’s volume 1 and 2 released last year ‘ RAPID-EYE VOL-3’
Features all new Co-written works and performances with various collaborations from the likes of German industrial artist MICHAEL PFIRRMANN ( aka ODRADEK ) and Belarus based musician / producer VLADISLAV BUBEN and the wonderful guest vocals from the Swedish singer and instrumentalist ANN-MARI THIM from the well-known Swedish band ( ARCANA ) who contributes her vocals, lyrics to the satnd-out tracks ' Directiv ' and 'Flight '. Inconjunction with a new vocal-contribuition from London / Berlin based singer and artist KAREN KING ( aka
KILLING OPHELIA ) on the new song 'Lucid' sung together with HOOKENS . Not forgetting a small low key guest spot from ( D,ESCOTT aka ELECTRO FUNK ROCKERS / AWAX ) who plays the piano parts on the track ‘ Directiv ‘ .The EP was mixed and mastered by KIER STEWART best know as the bass player with the Established Manchester band ( THE DURITTI COLUM ).

Due to be released in mid September 2009 RAPID-EYE VOL-3 delivers everything we have been led to expect from this moody, shadowy and enigmatic music-art assemblage and a lot more with what could be described as THE DIELECTRIC's best material to date. This 5-tack CD and limited-edition 4-track 7” features exclusive mixes and will only be available direct from THE DIELECTRIC’S own music website ( www.thedielectric.org ) and selected worldwide record shops and international mailorder outlets as well as other European US distribution and will not be available to download. Also contributing to this final part of the trilogy is Stateside based artist / video director KRISTOPHER COLLINS aka MOVAX. Best known for his visual, video, animation and live backdrop projections for the likes of PLAID ( Warp ) SPEEDY J among others , and who directed and produced an excellient new promotional video for ' CORRIDORS ' which is an exceptional work of art we think you will agree. Crammed full of ideas, images, and wonderful edits that compliments the scary, dark and beatiful world of THE DIELECTRIC perfectly .

FRONT 242 - Biography

Front 242’s entire history was clearly defined from the start when, in 1981, Daniel B. laid out his ideas on the first single : Body to Body. Following the recruitment of Patrick Codenys (keyboards), and Jean-Luc De Meyer (vocals) in 1982 for the first album GEOGRAPHY. In 1983, Richard 23 joins and completes the band as stage performer and vocalist.

A year later, the project / band developed and quickly reached a specialised audience in Europe. Successive tours and records are logical conclusions of the same concept of electro induced energy music. At the same time, the band already provided for it’s needs by having their own recording and graphic units. Wax Trax from Chicago is interested in Front 242; they sign what will be their first US release : the EP “Take One” (1984)

In 1985, the band played for the first time in large European festivals and flew to the US for some dates. They were soon tagged as a very powerful live group, and this form of music continues to spread across Europe under the monitor of “Electronic Body Music” which is the term Front 242 used to described the music they have invented. It is a collage, a synthesis of music and sound, recycled from the media or TV; and Front’s own interpretation of other artistic disciplines.

1988 saw the release of “Front By Front ” (including HeadHunter and Welcome to Paradise) which placed the band onto most of the covers of the European rock press. From now on, Front 242 is a fact.

Front’s vision continued toward fuller maturity. The world drastically changed since 1991’s “Tyranny For You“ album, and the members of the group moved with it. The two albums, “ 06:21:03:11 Up Evil “ and “05:22:09:12 OFF “ broke through the classical Front formula to bring in new vocalists, live guitars and drums. Redistributing roles and rules within the group, allowing other facets of the band’s personality to shine through. Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Sonic Youth) was called in to mix the album in Front’s studio. Exercising his talents within an electronic environment, bringing an abrasive, edgy, and seductive album to full potential. Released in 1993, the project showed the scope of radical invention and attitude, that goes hand in hand with Front 242’s music.

Taking a two year sabbatical didn’t stop Front from moving. It enabled them to realize two attractive CD’s: “Live Code”, recorded during their last world tour, brings to the forefront the power of the group’s live performance and sound. The compilation-album “Mut@ge-Mix@ge” proposes The Prodigy, The Orb, Underworld, Rico Conning, and Front 242 all on the same record.

More than a “remix” album, all the tracks, enriched by the innovative mixes of the other artists involved, and each dealing with different levels of technology, have been reedited in a specific order by Front 242 to provide a successful continuity of enveloping atmospheres and rhythms.

In 1997-98, the band has decided to undertake a World Tour to underline their last releases. Playing “live” has always been a good way for them to check out excitement and creativity. In that matter, the “live” music on their CD release “Re-Boot” includes new sounds and structures in order to present updated versions of older compositions.

After a long absence, Front 242 released the EP « Still & Raw » and the Album «Pulse» in 2003.

Based on an aesthetic from the 70’s and 80’s, when the roots of todays electronic music were influenced by German bands , Front 242 re-invents the original sound that was at the center of their art and enriched by 20 years of experience.

Analogue technologies and vintage machines pulsing into deconstructed tracks where emotion and research leads to a purely electronic attitude. Front 242, an unpredictable band, surprises the old and new audiences - while continuing to make the link with today’s music... with no concessions to their integrity.

FRONT 242 play exclusively in Dublin on Satuday the 28th of February 2009 in The Button Factory(formerly Temple Bar Music Centre). This show is the only date in Ireland and Great Britian. Do not miss this chance to see one of the true legends and innovators of the Electronic and Industrial scene. Tickets are priced €28.50 and on sale next week from www.tickets.ie, City Discs and Soundcellar.

FRONT 242 are available for interview by contacting Eric at towerpromotions@gothic.ie

In October 2008 Cabaret Nocturne and Rivetting Promotions bring you the biggest gothic industrial international tour Australia has yet seen! Headlining are Sweden's darkwave pop kings Covenant, on their second trip to australia after their triumphant 2005 tour. Informed by industrial, new wave and electro, and having created timeless dancefloor hits for the last ten years or more, Covenant's elegaic dark pop has found fans from Australia to Alaska and everywhere in between. They have spent 2008 headlining festivals all over Europe and, with newest member Daniel Meyer (Haujobb) on stage with them, will treat Australian audiences to a brilliant live sonic and visual performance. Accompanying Covenant on this industrial-pop juggernaut are: Daniel Meyer live, playing from his Destroid and Haujobb back catalogue. Meyer's last visit to Australia for the Distorted festival was arguably the festival highlight, and this visit will delight eager fans awaiting his return. Also Germany's Diary of Dreams, who, after persistent fan demand, divert from their current European tour to bring their gothic-tinged electronic show to Australia for the first time, and finally Voices of Masada, Britain's beloved contribution to this electronic gothic pop showcase.
Tribal Machine release industrial record

Tribal Machine has just released their 12-song album "Soldiers in a War of the Mind". Backed by a loyal online following and a strong live show, the band is ready to take the scene by storm.

Soldiers in a War of the Mind explores the dichotomy between life and the way its represented in the mass media. As Sever puts it; The title for this album was taken from a song I wrote some years ago. I wanted to reflect themes that I saw on the news and read in books. Ive noticed that the things we were fed did not necessarily reflect what was really going on, what the people really needed to know, and that pissed me off. I wanted to write about it, expand on it, explore it; but I also wanted to explore things about human nature, things like relationships, drugs, manipulation, and the discovery of something greater.

With influences like Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Dead Can Dance, Tribal Machine takes its sound from the framework of a traditional industrial band and infuses it with elements of classic rock, European folk, and a dash of Middle-Eastern chant. From the opening salvo of When the Walls Start to Slide through the dark romance of Pheromone to the meditative end of A Moment, Soldiers in a War of the Mind is unique and uncompromising in its approach to industrial-rock.

Re: kevorkian death cycle solo project

FROM MISS SILVIA JAMES
PLEASE DO REPLY THIS E-MAIL THROUGH MY PRIVATE EMAIL
ADDRESS : silviajames@sify.com
Dear

Good a thing to write you. I have a proposal for
you-this however is not mandatory nor will I in
any manner compel you to honour against your will.

Your profile pushed me to send you this mail,I am Silvia James,21years old and the only daughter of my late parents Mr.and Mrs.James. My father was a highly reputable busnness magnet-(a cocoa merchant)who operated in the capital of Ivory coast during his days.

It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad year 12th.Febuary 2003.Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time. But God knows the truth!

My mother died when I was just 4 years old,and since then my father took me so special. Before his death on Febuary 12 2003 he called the secretary who accompanied him to the hospital and told him that he has the sum of Ten million, seven hundred thousand United State Dollars.(USD$10.700,000) left in one of the leading security company here in Abidjan Ivory coast West Africa.

He further told me that he deposited the money in my name,I am just 21 years old and a university undergraduate and really don't know what to do.This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life.

Dear,I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards.Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded.

Now permit me to ask these few questions:-
1. Can you honestly help me as your Sister?
2. Can I completely trust you?
3. What percentage of the total amount in question will
be good for you after the money is in your account?

Please,Consider this and get back to me as soon as possible.Through my private email box. silviajames@sify.com

Thank you so much.

My sincere regards,

Silvia James

kevorkian death cycle solo project

sergeant sawtooth - mescaline CD.

12 tracks of dark electronic soundscapes for people who enjoy sticking pins into themselves.

written and engineered by sergeant sawtooth (rob robinson of kevorkian death cycle, BOL, subimage).

mastered by brian "big bass" gardner (credits too long to list, go to http://bigbassbrian.com/discography.htm).

released by negative3 productions (headed by cyrusrex, IDM master and contributor to skinny puppy's GWOTR cd).

includes remixes by subimage, cyrusrex and prophei.

live show in the werks....

order it here:
https://www.paypal.com/xclick/business=sgtsawtooth%40yahoo.com&undefined_quantity=1&item_name=sergeant+sawtooth+-+mescaline+CD&amount=13.00&no_shipping=2&no_note=1cy_code=USD

review:

"I can now comment more clearly on the subject of Sawtooth's new album Mescaline.

The album starts out in space with the Twilight Zone's version of the big bang, that's right the lady that flips hamburgers is there and she want's you to try her pudding. The image fades to a child with a pituitary gland disorder creaking in a rocking chair all alone in an empty, unfinished concrete basement.
The rhythm goes erratic and you don't realise Sawtooth is behind you... unzipping his pants.

He finishes his business and moves on to track three. You wouldn't believe it but he can write something beautiful. His shortcomings in verbal communication are suddenly justified by the attention he puts into background noise.

Many songs seem dysfunctional and agitated while calmly caressing my spine and whispering it would be okay. It's eerily acceptable without being intrusive. The best recommendation I can give is to listen to the album a few times and then really pay attention to it on the third or fourth listen. Not a road trip CD.

Aside from the remix by BOL's old lover and half brother SubImage the album could perfectly replace the soundtrack to such masterpieces as Tuvalu, Equilibrium, City of Lost Children or The Jungle Book."

New goth/industrial bands

I just love this band, The synthetic dream foundation. I just discovered them and really love their style. Really beautiful, but completely evil. I love underground
music in general, and have a hard time finding new bands where I live......Georgia. Here
is a link to that band's site:
http://www.tsdf.net/
Does anyone have some other new electro industrial bands they could suggest that aren't
on the major goth/industrial labels? Seems like the big heads like Monopolis, Cleopatra,
etc. don't release too much "real" industrial anymore. I hate synthpop. thx.

st. vitus dance web site : http://www.stvitusdance.com/
they played a show at the dna Lounge in san fran...i watched it over the net via the webcast option at the clubs website.
heres what jamie who also took the pics had to say about that nite:
System Syn was yet another "Assemblage VNV" and did nothing for me, but again, they get some respect by actually having someone playing keyboards and guitar instead of having their entire act pre-sequenced.
I really enjoyed St. Vitus Dance -- they played really hard, metal-influenced industrial, which has been sorely lacking in the world lately. Live drums, guitar, and occasional keyboards. Also they had a really good lightshow: nice, dramatic use of backlighting and fog.

(i thot the first band was pretty lame myself)

the exact link to the page were i took this from is:

as far as i had been told it was a term coined by front 242 and has been used (much to my dismay) eversince as a label for any technoish/"industrial lite" type music in a similar vein to front 242.
as far as i can recall it stands for something along the lines of: electo body movement...or electro body music.
something like that.
any one know better?

Previous In Thread
Reply

Colossal Spin launches darkly atmospheri

"Colossal Spin creates post-industrial metal music. This high-adrenaline artist from Vancouver assimilates industrial elements into a genre-transcending sound - stitching together disparate musical and vocal textures into a cohesive tapestry."

Yeah whatever. It's good music. Check it out: http://www.colossalspin.com

You'll need Flash, and high-speed internet helps for the music player.

Reply
Reply

DEPENDENT NEWSLETTER 04/2003

DEPENDENT NEWSLETTER 04/2003

SUICIDE COMMANDO

The fact that "Face of Death", the first single from the upcoming album
"Axis of Evil", is set to appear in the wake of recent events in the
Middle East is purely coincidental. Johan van Roy was not supplied with
any information by the Pentagon
as to when the first strike would come, nor did he provide Bin Laden with
a place to lay low for a while. Rumors, all rumors. What we know for a
fact is that the new single "Face of Death" from this one-man Belgian army
is due for release on 26 May 2003. The first
sign of life since 2001's celebrated "Love Breeds Suicide" EP, the new
single is sure to pack dancefloors and move bodies across the world. A
limited edition of the single will also be available, and planning for a
European tour to coincide with the release of the album is underway.

SULPHER

By now everyone has probably heard that SULPHER will be touring as support
for the SISTERS OF MERCY on all their European dates. What everyone has
probably not heard is that Dependent will be releasing the 3-track
single "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING", previously available only in England, to
coincide with the start of the tour. The accompanying video will make its
debut on Sonic Seducer's "Schattenreich" show (ONYX TV). Contact us for
more information about interviews and video servicing. SISTERS OF MERCY /
SULPHER tourdates:

March 30 Netherlands Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall
April 01 Germany Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle
April 02 Germany Leipzig Haus Auensee
April 03 Germany Zwickau Stadthalle
April 05 Germany Bremen Pier 2
April 06 Germany Berlin Columbiahalle
April 10 Germany Magdeburg Stadthalle
April 11 Germany Fuerth Stadthalle
April 12 Germany Stuttgart Messe Congresscentrum B
April 14 Germany Munich Zenith
April 15 Germany Duesseldorf Philipshalle

INTERLACE

We knew INTERLACE would be well-received, but we had no idea just how
well-received indeed...Soundcheck winner and Newcomer of the Month in
ZILLO, Newcomer of the Month in SONIC SEDUCER and and and. 5 May is the
release date for "Under The Sky (European Version)".

VEVLET ACID CHRIST

As it so oftern happens, we have nothing new to report regarding the
release date for the "Collapsed" single, but Hexfix93 (aka Bryan Erickson)
is hard at work on new tracks and is simultaneously preparing for tours of
both the US as well as Europe. Stay tuned to www.dependent.de for the
lastest VAC news!

secrets
10 trash
11 kill me (demo)
12 she (demo)

THIS CD IS
A TREAT!

and here's what "wednz" from AFB had to say about s7 in her
review...

"Suture Seven are an amazing cross genre band from
Pennsylvania. Their sounds range from industrial to electronica to doomy goth
fringes and everything in between. There really is no classifiable genre to mark
them under, and your best bet to get a remote sense of the power this band has
to offer would be to check out their website: www.sutureseven.com and download some
audio clips (or even take the time to send them some money in the mail and get
your very own CD!). Their latest album release "A Stitch To Mark The Wound" is
undeniably one of the best Suture Seven releases to date! Out doing their first
album release "Aversion" - which in itself is a really great album - A Stitch To
Mark The Wound takes you on a deeper, darker journey into the mindset of Suture
Seven's world. After just one listen you'll be amazed at how far Suture Seven
has progressed over the years, and I'm sure they'll impress us even more well
into the future!"

<end quote>

SUTURE.SEVEN IS ALSO LOOKING
FOR MORE STREET-TEAMERS!

if interested, please contact the "minister of
propaganda" at blakgarde@yahoo.com

and as always,
if you dig it, *please* pass the word.

<A
