looking for an artist of a particular song

I would greatly appreciate any help on this. I'm looking for the artist who sings "one life". I thought maybe it was Laid Back but I don't think it is. I know they do Whitehorse. I pretty sure the song came out between 1980 - 1986. It's a retro dance tune. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
