CIRCUIT BREAKER Volume 1 Prepare yourself for an invasion of your circuits. Australias freshest breaks, hiphop and electronic sounds compiled on one CD. Circuit Breaker is a rock steady compilation of original electro, hiphop and breakbeat tunes that have been submitted from all over Australia. Bands, DJs and producers were asked to send in tracks for what has turned out to be a world-class collection of exciting, locally produced electronic music. The project was undertaken by Lightsounds to identify and expose new music and give the artists some well-deserved exposure and recognition. Getting the music out of the bedroom and into the clubs and venues of the nation. Our friends at inthemix.com.au, 3D World, Scene & Beat magazines, Foghorn Records and King Willy Mastering decided to help out and join the cause as well. The response to the open call was overwhelming. A flood of outstanding entries was received, culminating in many late nights sifting through the submissions. Two things became apparent. There was depth AND quality. Electronica from Mullumbimby, hiphop from Adelaide, breaks from Queensland, the entries kept on coming. A veritable melting pot of intriguing tunes from home studios and laptops all over the country. Circuit Breaker 2 is coming..
