Arabia: Wesley Blake's latest EP on Elektek celebrates his unique style combining glitched-out delayed insanity, expertly timed drops and emotive melodic basslines. These are the main elements which provide the driving force to each of the three epic tracks that the EP has to offer.
Wesley's compositions will make you embark on a night time journey that you will want to see through right to the very end.
Beginning with an audible vista of beautifully haunting melody and gut grabbing bass in track 01. Arabinesque Nights. Then moving through the dense concrete forest of kick driven glitchy experiments in sound design and stabbing rythymic bass sections of track 02. Distrikt before arriving all too soon into "Marrakesh Market" track 03: home to a vibrant and rich world of sonic bustle.
You'll hear everything from mechanical shunts and bumps to electronic beeps and squelches to ambiguous human voices coexisting in one solid soundscape. Track 03 continues to build throughout it's 10 minute existence into a truly epic celebration of the first two tracks. This EP combines fine examples of House, Techno and Electro along with an inspirational use of structure, rhythm, melody and of course technology.
