DJ AFRIKA BAMBAATAA is the undisputed AMEN-RA of Universal HIP HOP Culture and the
Father of the ELECTRO-FUNK Sounds.

His track, PLANET ROCK is the most sampled recording ever in HIP HOP.

PLANET ROCK, is the birth of ELECTRO FUNK and fuelled the development of other
musical genres such as Freestyle or Latin Freestyle, Miami Bass, Electronica, House, Hip
House, and early Techno.

DJ AFRIKA BAMBAATAA stands alongside KOOL DJ KOOL HERC and KOOL DJ DEE as the three
founders of turntablism and breakbeat DJing.

He has worked with a cannon of artists worldwide, including UB40, Johnny Lyndon, EMF,
Jungle Brothers, XClan, Brand Nubian, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, Grandmaster Melle
Mel, Grandmaster Flash and the Godfather of Soul - James Brown.

DJ AFRIKA BAMBAATAA is the founder of THE ZULU NATION.

He is an active humanitarian and has raised funds for the African National Congress
